Brankica Janković, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, stated today, at the presentation of the results of a project aimed at the economic empowerment of women in Serbia, that gender gap still exists, and that our society cannot be fairer and more tolerant without the business community, which is willing to respect the rules of equality and inclusivity.
„It is important that people in the highest positions understand the issues regarding the employment and advancement of women, and constantly raise awareness of these prejudices,“ Janković said.
The Commissioner emphasizes that the gender gap in our society still exists, but it is lower compared to the gender gap in developed EU countries.
