Partizan basketball team is preparing for a new game in the EuroLeague on Friday, continuing their fight for the playoffs. Željko Obradović’s team will visit Olimpija’s team, which has a worse performance than the black and white team.
The „steamroller“ currently has a record of 13-14 and is in 11th place. The Italians are in a worse position with 11-16. The duel in Italy was also announced by Danilo Anđušić.
– They are a very experienced team, but we still don’t know in what lineup they will play as they have had injury problems recently. But regardless of that, whoever plays, they are experienced and quality players. This season, they have played quite inconsistently, but since this game is important for them to join the playoffs, I think they will play quality. Also, they are the hosts, and we have to show our best game to be able to achieve victory – Anđušić said, recalling one of the previous duels.
– I remember, I just remembered that today. It was decided seven-eight seconds before the end, and I hope we will now decide in our favor earlier. So we don’t have to worry until the very end.
As he admitted, the atmosphere in the team is better now.
– The atmosphere is great, of course, it is better when you win. Everything is different and more positive, and I hope we will continue in that rhythm.
The reason for this is two consecutive wins, first against Anadolu Efes, and then against Cedevita Olimpija.
– We all enjoyed this break to reset and return more motivated. What has changed is that we know that every game now is like a final. We are ready, we have quality, and I know we have that team spirit. And that is important for good results, and I say it again, it is more positive after important victories than when you lose.
